About the Madrassah

Our Story

A garden planted in 2008

Alhamdulillah, through the grace of Allah (swt), Darul Uloom Heidelberg was founded in 2008.

Its primary objective is to bring the beautiful deen of Allah (swt) alive in remote and indigenous areas of South Africa and beyond. It is hoped that by these teenage boys learning the Qur'an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), they will become leaders and imams in their own areas.

Many past students are now active in serving deen through Jumu'ahs, the five daily salaah, maktabs, adult education classes and tableegh.
